Hi Molly! Mollie O. showed me your website and I've seen so many great recipes to try. Finally I tried one. We had this French Onion Soup tonight and Steve and I both went crazy for it! It is definitely the absolute best French Onion Soup we have ever had!! (Not too cheesy at all, Zak.) The richest flavors ever and perfect on this cold night. Hi from Steve and hope all is going well with you. - Sara Olofson

[...] If asked to name my favorite sweet indelgence, I would struggle with the question. I have yet to meet a cookie I didn’t like. I can always devour a nice slice of chocolate cake. I have no will power when it comes to a piece of blueberry pie a la mode. But my all time favorite treat is a rice krispie bar. I know. Pretty lame. But they just rock. In fact, you may recall this Rice Krispie Bar post.
I'm glad you liked the Chocolate Rice Krispie bars! I used regular Rice Krispies with dutch cocoa power and bittersweet chocolate. I'll try to do a post about them next week!

Thanks for leaving a comment!!

Molly - I'm one of your faithful Brookfield Farmers Market customers...but not for the banana bread. The Peacan Bars with orange are my all-time favorite.

Today we tried your Chocolate Krispie bars. It was amazing! But I must tell you, my daughter and I tried to dissect it to try to figure out if you made it with regular Rice Krispies and chocolate marshmallows or with Cocoa Krispies. Do tell!

I read your blog for the first time tonight. And I had to laugh at your post on the Barefoot Contessa cookbook. I was just watching her Food Network show yesterday (or was it today) while I was doing laundry and thinking how much she annoyed me...and was wondering why anyone watch her show. Her parties are so perfect and unrealistic. But thanks to you, I see her in a whole new light. You're right, her recipes and ingredients are simple and just good. And of course we love her scone recipe, the results of which we buy every time we make it to the market!

Love all the great food photos on your blog!

Molly, I just recently discovered your website -- I love it! I tried the pork tenderloin with soy, giner, and lime. It was delish! I'm going to try the pork with bleu cheese and pine nuts next.

I have two questions for you today. First, I'm wondering if you have a banana bread recipe you could share or recommend. I've tried many, but haven't found the perfect one yet. Secondly, if you could recommend just one Barefoot Contessa cookbook, which one would it be? I can't decide which one to buy. Thanks for the assistance!

I had a chocolate-chip cookie today and it was delicious! So delicious I couldn't wait to get on-line to see Molly's website. It is a very creative interactive website but I was also hoping to find pictures of Molly's baked goods and prices for her catering. When will that be added or did I simply miss something. I can't wait to try the pork ideas.

Congratulations! We are so proud of you! A Playful Palate will grow and thrive with your creativity and entrepreneurial skills. Everything looks so yummy; we'll try to get there earlier next time before you sell out!
